I'm currently working full time as an IT business analyst for a local University.
Now for the deep stuff. I'm in a place of self-inflicted, self imposed burden, drudgery and resentment. Stuck with weight problems, stuck with not managing my money properly, stuck with little intimacy or joy in my relationships, or in my life really. And definitely stuck in a place with no FUN.
I had retired when I moved back from the US in late 2019, and had found myself recognising moments of deep joy and satisfaction as I pottered in my garden. It's an unfamiliar feeling and I relished it. I had a lovely new circle of friends I walked and did aqua aerobics with, was losing weight and had a social life. Then a job found me and I took it on to fund some renovations. However I'm finding myself triggered by all the past issues of 'I'm only worth the money I bring in', resentment of still being responsible for all the housework, cooking etc etc etc. No more exercise or socialising, eating my feelings so weight back on (and more). I'm bored with myself lol.
I would like to feel free to accomplish all the things I'm capable of, with joy, empowerment and connection. And a sprinkling of fun thrown in for good measure.
